So apparently there was a relatively large Earthquake last night in Tokyo around 1:30 AM. I have been here almost 8 months now and I have yet to feel one even though there are small ones all the time. I really thought I would notice one as strong as a 6.8, I guess i am a good sleeper.

We randomly found an excellent restaurant in Shimokitazawa. Great Sashimi and freaky giant beans!

Good food in Shibuya

This was one of the most amusing things I have seen here in Japan. It is completely common to see people sleeping on the trains, actually sometimes I feel like I am the only one not sleeping on the train. Just before I snapped this picture she was actually trying to txt somebody on her phone and kept nodding off while doing it. Finally sleep depravation won and resulted in this fantastic image of her with one eye half open while completely out cold.

I had my required company health checkup the other day. It was a bit different than what I am used to in the States. The whole thing is set up in stations, One person to take blood, one to check weight etc. Inbetween each station you have to go back into a waiting area to be called, kinda felt like cattle being coralled from place to place. The whole thing took almost 2 hours. On the plus side it was filled with cute nurses all dressed in matching futuristic uniforms (sorry no pictures form the inside).

Just in case you were considering jumping on to the tracks to get your lost hat this sign is sure to stear you away from such crazy ideas.

Yakizakana Teishoku = Baked fish set

I actually have no idea what kind of fish it was.I guess it is fitting considering the name of the restaurant is “Question”.
