A really enjoyabale hish resturaunt in Shimokitazawa.
Went to the Yokohama Baystars game with Todd and Jess Sunday afternoon. The Baystars beat the Yakult Swallows 5-3.
And here is a new beer I tried… you guessed it, tastes like every other one.
I don’t think I ever ate Spam in my life before coming to Japan. But Spam is relatively popular especially in Okinawan food. Couldn’t resist trying this Spam Sushi, Shhhh don’t tell anybody I liked it.
Had some Ramen and Spare ribs at this Greasy Spoon in China Town. Ramen was good though nothing special. The Spare ribs where pretty boring.
It really amuses me when I see big store signs like this with typos. Would it not be a good idea to have somebody check before spending your money and sending this off to the printer? Americans are all over Tokyo, just stop one of us on the street and say “hey is this right?”. But I guess if they could read my blog they might not make a mistake like “Daining”.
Today while walking between Naka Meguro (中目黒) and Daikanyama (代官山) I saw so many American cars it has kinda made the uniqueness of these posts lose some meaning. But it has become somewhat of a game for me so I will keep on keeping on.
Below are the 8 American cars hunted today (plus I missed a GMC truck and a Jeep)
Ford Escape #2
Corvette #5 (one of the few American cars spotted worthy of importing)
Dodge Caliber (I think?)
Jeep #11
Dodge Ram Van #3
Ford Mustang #2
Jeep #12
Jeep #13
Took a little walk in Naka Meguro today to enjoy the last little bit of the Cherry Blossoms before they are all gone. The river is filled with flower petals which look like snow falling from the trees, it is quite pretty.
Also had the chance to enjoy a nice lunch outside along the river on this beautiful 72 degree spring day.
